A.C.E.S. visits the Kickapoo Country Fair

A.C.E.S. booth was a busy place at the Fair on July 25 & 26! A.C.E.S. brought a pasture-bred young heifer from Westby who was a hit with the kids on Saturday. We shared a booth with Crawford Stewardship Project, and chatted with them about their crusade to keep a pig CAFO from damaging Crawford County, as we strive to prevent a dairy CAFO in Vernon County. Fairgoers supported us by purchasing yard signs and KARST posters, as well as valuable encouragement in our struggle to preserve our environment through "Family Farms, Not Factory Farms"

July Waiting Game

As we wait for Petry to make his move and let Vernon County know which of his properties will be chosen for the 3200 head dairy, A.C.E.S. is committed to keeping the C.A.F.O. issue alive. Leah Call has written the lead article for the Viroqua Food Coop newsletter, and the A.C.E.S. "herd" participated in the 4th of July Parade in La Farge.
